NHS Fylde and Wyre Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is holding a Governing Body meeting at their offices in Wesham with the public welcome to attend. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 20 January at 2pm.

The role of the Governing Body is to oversee the work of the CCG and ensure arrangements are in place to allow the organisation to effectively carry out its duties and in accordance with the principles of good governance as a CCG.

Members of the public are also invited to submit questions, which relate to the meeting agenda, in writing prior to the meeting.  This can be done by completing an online form on the Governing Body meetings page at www.fyldeandwyreccg.nhs.uk. Alternatively, people can write to the Governing Body secretary at NHS Fylde and Wyre CCG, Derby Road, Wesham, PR4 3AL.

Mary Dowling, chair of the CCG’s Governing Body, said: “We are committed to being an open and transparent organisation and so I would like to encourage members of the public to come along to our next meeting. Anybody who attends has the opportunity to ask our Governing Body questions about the items on our agenda and we will be able to explain what we are trying to achieve.”

It is important to note that although Governing Body meetings are held in public, they are not ‘public meetings’. These meetings provide an opportunity for the public to hear important decisions that are made about which health services the CCG commission in order to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

The full address for the venue of the meeting is: NHS Fylde and Wyre CCG, Derby Road, Wesham, Lancashire, PR4 3AL.
