People living on the Fylde coast will be able to access a number of local pharmacies this Bank Holiday Monday.

With doctors’ surgeries closed for an extra day, patients in the area will be able to visit their local pharmacist for help with any minor ailments or health concerns.

Pharmacies open are:

  • Asda Pharmacy, Dock Street, Fleetwood, FY7 6NU – 9am to 6pm
  • Boots, 39 Victoria Road West, Cleveleys, FY5 1BS – 10am to 4pm
  • Boots 3-5 St Annes Road West, St Annes, FY8 1SB – 10am to 4pm
  • Sainsbury’s Pharmacy, St Andrew’s Road North, St Annes, FY8 2JE – 9am to 7pm
  • Boots, 66 Clifton Street, Lytham, FY8 5EW – 11am to 5pm
  • WM Morrisons Pharmacy, Amounderness Way, Cleveleys, FY5 3TS – 9am to 5pm

Patients are urged to Think! Why A&E? before heading to Blackpool Victoria Hospital, which is already experiencing high demand.

PharmacyAlternative health services such as the walk-in centre in Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, and same-day centre in Dock Street, Fleetwood, will be available as usual.

If illnesses or health complaints are not urgent and patients are unsure about what they should do, the NHS 111 phone line will help get them to the right place.
