Clinical policy reviews: Cosmetics and assisted conception

The eight clinical commissioning groups in Lancashire are working together to review their clinical policies. They are seeking to make clinical decisions and the individual funding request process consistent and fair across the county.

As part of this process clinical policies are being amended and updated and brought into line wherever possible across the CCGs. This includes reviewing the principles upon which all the policies are based.

The next clinical policies to be reviewed will be for cosmetic procedures and assisted conception.

As part of this process, the views of patients across Lancashire are being sought via two online surveys.

A series of focus groups took place across the region earlier this month.
