Dr James ReidDr James Reid qualified at the University of Glasgow in 1981. He then undertook hospital posts in a variety of specialities including medicine, surgery, A&E, orthopaedics, ENT, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology, and geriatric medicine before ultimately deciding on a career as a GP.

In 1988 he joined Witton Surgery in Blackburn as a GP principal where he stayed for 11 years. He then moved to Ansdell Medical Centre in St Annes in 2000 where he remains as a GP principal.
